Who We Are

Buckner Performing Arts and Science Magnet Elementary School believes an individual's abilities are activated and strengthened through involvement in and exposure to the arts and the integration of science disciplines. Buckner provides student-centered programs that integrate core academics with arts and science integration education.

What We Offer

When you walk into a classroom at Buckner, you will see students actively engaged in learning - dissecting cow eyes, holding Madagascar Hissing Roaches, building bridges and towers, playing instruments, acting as characters from a story, or having a discussion with an Alaskan Park Ranger about killer whales via IDL technology.

• Black box theatre with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems

• First, third and fifth grade performances which integrate dance, music, drama and stagecraft.
