Where everyone can be an All-Star Kindergartner!!!

    Greetings from the Kindergarten class in Room 34  at Buckner Elementary school in Wichita, Kansas. My name is H. O. Lytle and I'm one of three kindergarten teachers at Buckner. I will be updating this web site continually so check back often.

A little about me.                       

Born and raised in Wichita.

Graduated from North High and Wichita State.

Began teaching at Buckner in 1989.

    3rd grade for 2 years.

    2nd grade for 1 year.

    1st/2nd grade combo 6 years.

    Kindergarten - this will be my 11th year. (My favorite grade to teach).

Married to Connie who is a case manager for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. (She was born in

            Nebraska but now loves KU football and basketball.)

3 sons:

            Ryan - Graduated from KU & KU Med School. Is married to Whitney and is a medical       resident at Loyola Hospital in Chicago.

            Brandon -  Graduated from KU and will be student teaching this year in Lawrence; wants to be High School teacher and coach.

            Jordan - 3rd year at Ithaca College in New York ; studying technical lighting and sound.

Hobbies: Enjoy sports (all - but like baseball best) ,play golf (not very well anymore), like all kinds of music, enjoy tinkering on the computer (playing free fantasy sports), reading, and working on the school and class web pages.

This web site is put together so that I can have a different way to communicate to parents and students. Each button at the top of the page will take you to a different page within this site. This site will be constantly updated throughout the year; especially the news, pictures, & student of the week pages; so always check back.
